MAHONING MOVEMENT: Evening of Entertainment, Info, & Resource Procurement

  • Knox Bldg 110 West Federal Street Youngstown, OH, 44503 United States (map)

June 25, on the second and third floors of Knox Bldg, featuring presentation and discussion of the Mahoning Movement project thus far, as well as some entertainment, surprises and special guests!

The Mahoning Movement documents the history of transportation along the Mahoning River and advocates for an Interpreted Active Transportation trail to connect the Stavich Trail in Struthers to the Portage County hike and bike trail in Ravenna. These efforts are part of a YSU Graduate Studies project by Jacob Harver, who is a board member of Friends of the Mahoning River, and member of Friends of the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry & Labor (YHCIL). The YHCIL aka the “Steel Museum” and the Applied History Program at YSU is empowering the project.
